((I’ve always had the impression that Dad Egbert was very old fashioned looking. He’s got the hat, the suit, and the pipe of a stereotypical 50s dad, after all. So for Joan’s mom, Emily Egbert, I thought she’d look very, well vintage and elegant. That’s why I settled for the very lovely actress Gene Tierney. The more you know!))
